Allan syndicating a CAPTAIN AL 2yo in the yard

19th Mar 2010

Cape Town trainer Vaughan Marshall’s great form continued this afternoon at Kenilworth with a great 2 year old double.  BRILLIANT CUT, a son of Kabool, seems to be a high class juvenile following hot on the heels of Marshall’s last season champion 2yo VILLANDRY.  M J Byleveld guided him to a comfortable second victory today.   A half share in this fellow cost his partners R 50,000 or about £4,500 / €4,950 and he could be International.

Straight afterwards, MADRISA also won for the second time, taking the juvenile fillies race very easily under Craig du Plooy.  This daughter of Grey Eminence cost less than half of BRILLIANT CUT and is owned by VILLANDRY’s consortium.

Allan Bloodlines, with Vaughan Marshall as trainer, is currently syndicating a nicely bred 2 year old by top sire CAPTAIN AL (whose yearlings topped the Vintage Yearling Sale last week with prices up to R 500,000) at a cost for 12.5% of £1,650 + VAT with monthly costs of £65+VAT.  Winning a maiden would cover about four and a half months.
