83 winners of 220 races in the past few years

12th Jul 2010

Allan purchases have kept up their winning ways in both England and South Africa during the last few days.

While trainer Chris Wall is to be congratulated on taking the Ascot Summer Mile Gr.2 with his own purchase PREMIO LOCO, he also won again with LUMINOUS GOLD selected by Allan from Tattersalls October Yearlings Book 1.  The Fantastic Light filly was winning for the third time at Folkestone in a consistent career, interrupted recently by a horse box accident from which she has clearly fully recovered in Wall's care.  She is now a member of the very long list of multiple winners purchased by Allan Bloodlines

Meanwhile, another multiple winner STORMINATEACUP won his fourth race, taking a decent 1400 metres handicap at Durbanville off bottom weight with lightweight Neo Quale making it all possible. Trainer Vaughan Marshall also placed with other Allan selections on teh same day.  A Group winner of 4 races in his younger days, GOLDEN IVORY ran 2nd in new colours, sold within the yard, and Allan's own TIMPANIST finished 3rd from a bad draw beaten two short heads in a 2,000 metre maiden.

Counting horses currently running or having retired no earlier than late 2007, 83 Allan Bloodlines' yearlings and horses in training have won 220 races at home and abroad.  In this "boutique" operation, the 100 winner mark was passed some time ago and the percentage of winners to selections of well over 70% (90% winners or placed) has been maintained.
