ALL RACING CLUBS SPRING BACK TO LIFE
Hintlesham Thoroughbreds and Straight Bat Racing back in action
Allan Bloodlines' two racing clubs have had a quiet time since mid June but are springing back to life now.
Two of HINTLESHAM THOROUGHBREDS' horses triple winner CWM RHONDDA and the 2 year old TITUS TWO have had a virus, thus accounting for their disappointing second efforts this term having been 2nd and a promising 5th on debut respectively. Both have been in rude health for a couple of weeks and will run soon. TITUS TWO will run this week and CWM RHONDDA has two races to choose from on Saturday 24th July. Meanwhile FATHOM FIVE, a six times winner including first time out this season and unlucky in the valuable Epsom Dash is simply waiting for rain.
In South Africa STRAIGHT BAT RACING is in its Winter Phase. Stalwart TITUS ALONE, a Royal Ascot winner in England and winner of six overall, has retired at 7 to a happy life as an ex-racehorse. CAPE GETAWAY, a well bred filly, has transferred to Port Elizabeth and should run in a couple of weeks. and the flat has been carried by FLY AMERICAN, the Jet Master 3 year old who has won this season but preferred a bit of cut in the ground. The Cape rains have come, and FLY AMERICAN has finished 3rd and - yesterday - 2nd, beaten a neck. He should be winning again soon.
