TIGER DANCE's BIG BROTHER IS NUMBER ONE

Allan Bloodlines' Press Release as printed in The Sporting Post

31st Oct 2010

TIGER DANCE’s BIG BROTHER IS NUMBER ONE

Tulbagh-based son of Storm Cat is covering well and waiting for his first runners

25th October 2010

TIGER DANCE’s full brother GIANT’S CAUSEWAY remains the most popular sire in the USA and was Number One in number of individual stakes performers in 2010.   Sire in total of nearly 90 Stakes winner (of which 17 are Gr.1 winners), he is – at the tender age of 13 – also becoming a prominent sire of sires.

FOOTSTEPSINTHESAND, FIRST SAMURAI and SHAMARDAL have all done well in their early careers with SHAMARDAL joining DUBAWI as the top end sires in the Darley Stallion Roster.  “STOP PRESS – SHAMARDAL sires the winner on Saturday 23rd October of the Gr.1 RACING POST TROPHY at Doncaster for 2 year olds – CASAMENTO (IRE) for Sheikh Mohammed (in his old colours).  Other winners of this race include multiple Gr.1 winners HIGH CHAPARRAL, MOTIVATOR and AUTHORIZED”

GIANT’S CAUSEWAY covered 217 mares in the 2010 season with a fee of US$100,000 or approximately R 700,000.

His full brother TIGER DANCE won’t be covering quite as many is his awkward 4th year, the year of waiting to see what the runners do, and we can do something less than his brother on the fee.  Quoted at R 12,000 in this in-between year TIGER DANCE continues to sire foals that bowl their breeders over.  With approximately 60/60/40 mares in his first three seasons – not bad for a horse that became a nomad for reasons beyond his control – TIGER DANCE is very well placed.

He is covering well at Lion River and we welcome calls for mares due to foal and not yet booked.  We shall be very accommodating!
