NATIONAL EMBLEM COLT WINS WELL
The Lacework Kid another good son of the sire
16th Apr 2011
Why is the market cool on National Emblem? This worthy sire of a string of Group winners including Champions (plural and recent) and an emerging broodmare sire of note has gone cold at the sales. But another example of his prowess was seen at Kenilworth yesterday when THE LACEWORK KID, a 2 year old colt, won a seemingly strong maiden having placed first time out.
Purchased at the 2010 National Yearling Sales by the Allan Bloodlines/Vaughan Marshall team and trained by the latter for Lindsay Ralphs and partner, the attractive chestnut and rider Karis Teetan used the rail to advantage and got home by a quarter of a length.
