SERENDIPITY WINS IN JOBURG
Allan-bred filly gets out of the maidens
16th Sep 2017
Starting 14/10 favourite, the David Allan bred and owned Jay Peg filly SERENDIPITY
won over 1600 metres yesterday at Turffontein ridden by the legendary Piere Strydom and trained by Lucky Houdalakis.
She thus became the fourth winner bred by David out of the National Emblem mare Selika.
David retained her twice through the sales ring, believing in her quality, but seeing little demand for her at either CTS March or CTS Ready to Run in 2016 but in the process qualifying her for both Sales Races. He sent her to Lucky and she has recently run 2nd 2nd 2nd 1st.
